Christian Tech Center Director Responds to Ban of Charity’s “X” Account

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (October 21, 2026) – Christian Tech Center Ministries, a non-profit organization which serves people in need with free tech services and computer equipment, was wrongfully deplatformed from Elon Musk’s “X” platform this past summer. X, formerly known as Twitter, was one of several social media platforms that has been actively utilized by the organization to highlight updates and program activities to the public.

The ministry’s posts would typically showcase real photos featuring the executive director, team members, and clients, and never any artificial, enhanced, or AI generated content. However, during operating hours on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, executive director Andre Klass received a notification email from X which falsely accused the charity’s account of “inauthentic behavior” and notifying that it was permanently banned, this despite all content that had been published was always authentic and identical to the posts made on the organization’s other channels.

“Whereas X has turned the other cheek to push deepfake content and AI slop on its users and gives preference to content fostering animus and divisiveness to increase engagement, they have chosen to suppress and censor the content of a verified, award-winning charitable organization with a track record of societal good to all who need it,” said Andre Klass, executive director of Christian Tech Center Ministries. “Having grown up as a special-needs child in a disadvantaged home, the fact that agents of the planet’s richest man would exert the weight of his influence to try robbing me and this ministry of its voice is alarming and disappointing. Yet when you serve as a pillar of faith, it is expected to get pushback from the principalities of the world as it is written in Ephesians 6:12.”

Klass has consistently made a point out of upholding the core principles of his Christian faith in the operational philosophy and standards of stewardship of his charity, which to date has given over 4,000 free computers to struggling families and other nonprofit organizations serving Central Florida. The organization actively helps to meet people in their need, giving a hand-up by bridging the digital divide through the essential resources it provides. Earlier this year, Klass was also a signatory to the Central Florida Pledge, a regional initiative promoting constructive engagement and treating every person with dignity and respect to make Central Florida a more welcoming community.

Despite being an A+ certified computer technician since the 10th grade, Klass has always maintained an adversity to AI and the overdependence on it by the general populace in recent times. On his nonprofit’s podcast “Debugging the Darkness,” Klass has often referred to AI as a modern-day “tower of babel” and has cautioned as to the negative sociological impacts of the technology.

“Having promised their platform to be free of adverse censorship, this action is a direct affront to the preservation of self-expression on the digital frontier,” said Klass. “To shut down an nonprofit’s official account based on the uplifting faith-based ideals and perspectives of its founder is damning. But we do not answer to Elon. We answer to Jesus.”

In response to an appeal, X declined to reinstate the account, again alleging unspecified violations of the X rules. Even after an inquest by Representative Plakon’s office, X refused to provide further clarification.
