Free Computer Repair

We are able to help with a variety of repair needs for desktop and laptop computers. Error messages, crashing, and slowness are some of the most common types of symptoms that our service center can potentially resolve. All services start with a general evaluation and appropriate testing to determine if the problem or difficulty is being caused by either the software or hardware. Once diagnosed, corrective actions can be pursued.

While some issues can be resolved quickly, more intermediate problems may require leaving the computer for extended service. While our goal is to try getting you back up and running as soon as possible, completion times may vary due to high-demand and the technical depth of the repair. All computers are worked on in the order they are received.

Software services we can assist with include:

• Windows/macOS Updates
• Virus and Malicious Software Removal
• General Maintenance/Tune-Up
• Operating System Repair or Reinstallation
• Drivers and Functionality Issues
• Data Transfer or Backup
• Password Recovery/Reset

Hardware components we can often assist with diagnosing, replacing, or upgrading include:

• Hard Drives and Solid State Drives
• RAM/Memory Sticks
• Processor/Motherboard
• Graphics Cards
• Power Supply
• Laptop Batteries

These services are always 100% free for those of greatest need in our community. We also avail our services to the general public on a donation-supported basis.

*The ability of our team to perform certain repairs on some computers may be limited by proprietary designs or software configurations. Some models may not be serviceable if they are not technically feasible to repair, technologically obsolete, or the parts are unavailable. Payment may be required for the actual cost of ordering parts which are required to facilitate a repair. We can not service computers with physical damage, liquid spills, or insect infestation.

Functionality Guidance

Even with properly working computers, many users continue to struggle due to difficulties in understanding how to use them. This problem is often compounded by changes in the interface and functionality between different versions of Windows or macOS released over the years. In addition to being able to offer voluntary one-on-one training or guided assistance for essential skills, Christian Tech Center is in the process of developing partnerships with various advocacy and support organizations to offer complimentary computer teachings throughout the community.

Community Computer Redeployment

One of our primary goals at Christian Tech Center is to get functional and capable personal computers into the homes of struggling individuals & families that may not otherwise be able to afford them due to a variety of situations or life circumstances. We also facilitate essential technology assistance for smaller nonprofits and service organizations which lack the needed resources to fulfill their critical care missions.

Christian Tech Center is the first ministry of its kind to launch a community computer redeployment program, which takes in systems that are discarded, donated, or surplused, brings them up to current technological standards, and gives them back out freely to bless those with the greatest need.

If you are in need of a computer for yourself or your family, please contact us at 407-545-8090, or visit our facility during operational hours.

Please take notice that due to high demand, we are currently enforcing a strict limit of one computer per household. For our approval process, unless we receive a referral coming directly from another nonprofit or social services organization, all prospective recipients are required to submit documentation to verify their hardship or situation of need.
If you are a client presently receiving services or case management from one of our interagency partners, a referral from them is preferable if you meet their eligibility requirements. Approval criteria may vary between organizations and is subject to the discretion of the organization’s peer specialist, care coordinator, or their supervisors, depending on the program. Christian Tech Center can not act against the decision of an organization’s designated representatives if they decline to approve you for services, especially if you are residing in an inpatient or residential facility. If the referring charity or organization has a policy that would restrict our access of information, it is your responsibility to sign a release with them authorizing us to receive the necessary information to authenticate your eligibility as a client of their organization.
If you operate a non-profit and would like to form a partnership to potentially refer your clients of need to receive services from Christian Tech Center, please call us at 407-545-8090 during standard operating hours.
We appreciate your understanding as we aim to help as many people as possible while maintaining a strong standard of stewardship.

The most important thing we can do as a ministry is to offer our neighborly support to you through the power of prayer. If you need someone to come into agreement with you in prayer for yourself or someone you know, please visit our facility or call 407-545-8090.

We also offer free bibles at our facility which can be obtained anytime during operational hours.
