Christian Tech Center Ministries Presents First Ever Sandra Mantellini Community Service Award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SANFORD, Florida (May 24, 2024) – Christian Tech Center Ministries, a non-profit organization which serves people in need with free tech services and computer equipment, debuted a brand new community service award which was presented earlier this month during the second anniversary gala. Named in memory of Sandra Mantellini, a young woman with a passion of evangelism who refused to let her terminal illness stop her from sharing the gospel, this award is part of an annual tradition launched by executive director Andre Klass to recognize an individual who has undertaken extraordinary actions to embody the love of Jesus Christ in our community.
The very first 2024 recipient of this award was Amy Reichard, a nursing manager who experienced the calling of God to donate her kidney to a total stranger after seeing a photo of a car magnet highlighting the desperate need. The 24-year-old woman who received the transplant has regained full health and has a bright future ahead. Amy’s courageous story was recently featured in the March/April edition of Lake Mary Life Magazine.
“I am glad to be in a position where I can honor the memory of a very close friend with the creation and presentation of this community service award in her namesake,” said Andre Klass, founder and executive director of Christian Tech Center Ministries. “Amy Reichard’s gift of the blessing of life truly embodies the love of Christ, and her actions are well-deserving of this recognition.”
The naming of the award was done with the blessing of the Mantellini family. Future recipients of this award will be decided by the Christian Tech Center Ministries board of directors, and presented at future gala events held by the organization.
“We are so grateful and appreciative of this special reminder of our daughter Sandra’s impact and love she had for those she had a chance to touch in their lives,” said Roberto Mantellini, Sandra’s father. “Our family gives thanks to Andre, Amy, and all involved in this occasion and we will keep everybody in our prayers.”
