The Grand Opening of Christian Tech Center Ministries

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (May 9, 2022) – A brand new community service ministry centered on the underserved need of personal computers and technology is launching in Central Florida. Christian Tech Center Ministries is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization headquartered at 1006 West State Road 434 in Longwood, at the south corner of Rangeline Road in the City Center plaza. The grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration will take place on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 4:30PM EDT.

Christian Tech Center Ministries’ mission is focused on assisting struggling individuals and families, with service offerings including free basic computer repairs, tech skill guidance, and a PC reconditioning & donation program. Unlike a traditional computer retailer, Christian Tech Center does not have a fee schedule nor does it sell any computer equipment, and instead relies on a partnership model of donations and sponsorships to fund its community service offerings.

“Over the course of the 21st century, and especially since the COVID-19 pandemic, having access to technology has become more essential than ever in the modern household,” said Andre Klass, founder and executive director. “Distance learning for school, applying for jobs, telemedicine, and just staying connected to family and friends, all rely on computers. Individuals and families without access to modern technology suffer extreme disparity in terms of economic sustainability and educational equality, and Christian Tech Center Ministries was created to stand in the gap and avail these resources to disadvantaged households across Central Florida.”

The Christian Tech Center facility is a first-of-its-kind technology workshop incorporating the central tenets of the lordship of Jesus Christ and biblically-sound principles into an inclusive movement of stewardship for the community. Having been a certified computer technician since high school, Klass has been excited to devote his life into this new venture of service, even putting up his entire life savings to fund the preparation and launch.

“We are called to use our gifts and talents to honor him, and to love one another,” Klass said. “There is no greater joy than living for the Lord.”

Christian Tech Center Ministries will be open for walk-in appointments and also assist with interagency client referrals. Mobile services are anticipated for a later date.
