Christian Tech Center Ministries’ Director and Volunteer Recognized for Life-Saving Actions

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LONGWOOD, Florida (December 12, 2025) – Andre Klass, founder and executive director of the local non-profit organization Christian Tech Center Ministries, and one of his volunteers, Brianna Evans, were both honored by the City of Longwood for their life-saving actions earlier this fall.

On the afternoon of September 5, Klass and Evans were traveling in the ministry’s cargo van “Jireh One” on Ronald Reagan Boulevard transporting computer equipment, when an elderly motorist was involved in a high-speed collision with a commercial pickup truck directly in front of them. Klass and Evans immediately called 911 and rushed onto the scene, freed the trapped woman from the wreckage of her car, carried her to safety in the median, and remained to render aid until first responders and family arrived.

“Watching the crash take place just ahead of us was a huge shock. In that moment seeing someone in immediate danger we knew we had to act,” said Andre Klass, founder and executive director of Christian Tech Center Ministries. “We are grateful that God put us in the right place at the right time to intervene in this situation and that the victim was able to recover from her injuries.”

Klass and Evans originally met in April during a service at Northland Church. Since then, Evans has been regularly volunteering with Christian Tech Center, earning the nickname “Miss Tetris” for her affinity to organize and assist in the operation of the organization.

“I’m grateful that I was able to have this woman’s back,” said Brianna Evans, volunteer. “Originally when Andre slammed on the brakes and started screaming “call 911″ it didn’t really make sense to me what was going on until I looked out the window. After we got her out she was falling and shaking the whole time but at that time we had her six and helped her through this. We weren’t going to leave her side until we were sure that everything would be okay.”

Today, Mayor Brian Sackett and City Manager William Watts presented Klass and Evans with official letters of recognition from the City of Longwood for heroism in their involvement in this event.

“Your willingness to help a person in need, without hesitation for your own safety, exemplifies the highest ideals of community spirit,” said Brian Sackett, Mayor of the City of Longwood. “Your heroic actions are a testament to your character and reflect the very best of our region.”

Since launching in 2022, Christian Tech Center Ministries has already given away over 3,000 free computers to underprivileged families and other nonprofit organizations, and performed a large amount of complimentary repair services and technology workshops. The organization is currently preparing for accelerated demand into the new year to meet the growing needs of the community.
